I am a psychotherapist located in South Minneapolis and I provide individual and family psychotherapy to adolescents and adults. I specialize in working with individuals seeking to reduce stress, anxiety, depression and process grief. I have worked with the eating disorder population and am informed to work with individuals motivated to continue to enhance their self-esteem and body image. I also work with individuals in the LGBTQIA community.
In my practice, I take a person-centered approach, working to understand you within your family, community, and cultural contexts. My role in therapy is to support and guide you as you discover and build on your own strengths to heal. My approach to psychotherapy is intersectional
, taking into consideration the many different systems and identities we connect with and affect us. Additionally, I use cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy
, and each session is adapted to fit your individual needs and goals. I provide a safe and validating environment through a calm, non-judgmental, and compassionate approach in order for you to feel heard and seen. In this environment, we will work together to learn new ways to cope, reclaim a sense of empowerment, and find peace and hope in your life.
I identify as a multicultural mixed race cis woman who uses she/her/hers pronouns. I received my master’s degree in Social Work with a specialty in Mental Health from The University of Pittsburgh and my bachelors in Psychology from The University of Minnesota.
